Helmsdale Hives honey is raw, and sourced only from local Northland apiaries. Our Woodland Honey is 100% Raw, an all-natural bees' blend, combined in the hive.

This is a dark amber honey, a warm flavour with a classic bite. As this is a natural product, the honey will differ between seasons, and batches.

Our honey is warmed through to break down any initial crystallisation of the honey's natural sugars during the packing process. This is just enough heat to allow the honey to flow, the same as it would from the hive.

Crystallisation will begin to re-form over time, but this is a completely natural process, so to restore your honey to its liquid state, simply apply a gentle heat. The honey should not exceed 37°C to retain the full health benefits.
